If you would like to be driven around Kauai in a small group or privately with and island guide this is for you. With these trips there is more flexablity than in a large bus tour. It is also good for those who do not drive or do not want to drive.
This tour is best for small groups who want to see the island but not drive. Snorkel stops are available weather permitting. Also for the English speaking there are many more options of land tours. There are also taxi tours and Hawaii Movie tours that we can arrange. These tours will get their own pages eventually. Please ask if you are interested in a different tour.

  Waimea Canyon Tour
Waimea Canyon

The bottom of Waimea Canyon is one of the driest areas of Kauai and the top is one of the wettest. The Canyon itself is a very beautiful with some very good observation points along the way,

The short drive from the hot dry leeward costal area to the cool mountain rain forest is also very impressive.

Kalalau Valley

Kalalau is the valley at the end of the road past Waimea Canyon. It is the largest valley along the Na Pali Coast. The view from the look out is awesome. For more pictures check out the Kauai Guide - Kalalau. This is where the road ends but there is a trail that continues on past here to the Alakai swamp.

Kauai Coffee Museum

The largest coffee plantaition in the country is on the South side of the island. You must drive past here tyo get to the Waimea canyon. They have a gift shop and musium there too. They have samples of the coffees that they grow and an informative video on the production of coffee at Kauai Coffee.

Spouting Horn

The spouting horn on the South sjore is another natural phenominon. Here the wavesforce water out of a small hole in the back of a lava tube. If the waves are right the water shoots way into the air. The sound of the air rushing through the tube is loud too.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is an available option on this tour.

  North Shore Tour
Kee Beach

This is the end of the road on the North Shore. This is where the road ends and the na Pali Coast begins.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is an available option with this tour. There is no extra cost for snorkeling.

Na Pali Trail

The Na Pali Coast trail starts at Kee. If you like you can hike a little on the trail. it is a short hike to some very good view points.

Wet Cave & Dry Cave

There are large caves by the road on the North Shore. Two of them are filled with water and the other one is dry.

Hanalei Town & Hanalei Bay

Hanalei town is a good place to stop for lunch. There is no lunch provided with this tour. Hanalei Bay is a large protected bay good for swimming in the summer. In the winter it turns into a surfing spot. On the big days it is closed to swimmers.

Hanalei Valley

Hanalei Valley is a major area of taro cutivation. The the valley is filled with taro loi. It is also a bird preserve. Water birds trive on the taro loi and Hanalei stream environment. Check out the Kauai Guide - Hanalei for more information.

Kilauea Light House
Kilauea Light House once guided the ships into Hawaii from the North. The largest lens of its type it is quite a land mark. It is no longer used as a light the modern light is on a pole next to the light house.

Kilauea is now a Bird Refuge. Here you can see many seabirds soaring by very close to the cliffs of Kilauea Point. Many types of seabirds nest at Kilauea Point and the nearby island.

Besides the birds there are great views of the ocean and North Shore.
